I sometimes find it surprising just how much Beemo can do there appears to be no limit to the gadgets and programs it has. Although I must admit I was horrified when it is revealed Beemo can be played like a synthesiser because Princess  Bubblegum removes Beemos front plate. I am glad they added a laugh from Beemo there or I may have spent ages wondering if she had hurt him.

I love Adventure Time, it is so odd and I find the stories appealing even though I am supposed to be all grown up now.

Cross stitch kit review: VW camper van by Fido Stitch Studio

Cross stitch kit review: VW camper van by Fido Stitch Studio
This is my finished picture of the VW camper vans kit by Fido stitch studio.
Check out their Ebay shop here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Fido-Stitch-Studio

As you can see I loved this design so much I ended up sewing it nine times. Some of the colours shown here are not directly available in kit form so I substituted threads from my own stash while using the same pattern all the way along. However the kits are available in Green, pink, blue and red so it should not be too hard to find a colour you like.

The kit
The kit itself was packed in a fairly sturdy bag with a large label making it very easy to identify in my sewing stash. It also contains everything you need including a needle and pre-sorted thread which makes it a brilliant grab and go kit for short breaks or holidays. Each van is only 7x7 cm meaning it shouldn't take so long to sew either.

The chart
The chart and all symbols are printed quite large which makes it easy to read and follow while stitching.
I like the useful feature (not included on all charts I have used sadly) of having the colour of the thread described next to its number and symbol. Just in case your thread get a little mixed up.
There is quite a bit of backstitch in this design and its not always simply stitching along the crosses so be prepared to take it slowly if you are not too confident with more challenging stitches.

Stitches included:
Full stitches: Yes
Half stitches: Yes
Backstitch: Yes
Seed beads or other embellishments: No
French knots: No
Other more advanced embroidery stitches: No

I discovered last year and was delighted to find a heronie who is strong, brave and kicks butt and still looks good doing it in a skirt. She is smart too and what cannot be done with firepower is done with a clever plan. Ok so I'm all grown up but certainly have a soft spot for Atomic Betty and all her adventures

Its odd to me that I have seen this kind of plot the one where a hero/ heroine has to keep his/ her secret super identity secret while still in school in many different series and when first seeing this show I was wondering if I would simply see a re-hash of all the things that came before. I was delighted to find that the stores are charming and actually in some episodes things which have happened to me. (but sadly without the super heroine bits)

This is a fan art design and made to share with other fans of the show. Atomic Betty and all characters in the show belong to Atomic cartoons who make this show.

Trollface/coolface/Problem? Meme cross stitch design

Trollface Meme cross stitch design

Here is a fairly small design of the Trollface/coolface/Problem? Meme. Perfectly sized for a large card, coaster or a small cushion.

To find out about the origins of this particular meme check out its entry on Meme database here:
http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/trollface-coolface-problem

This face is used to represent someone who is being cheeky, trolling on the internet or simply up to mischief so why not stitch something to leave for an unsuspecting victim.
Why not Stitch a card telling a housemate you ate all of their biscuits or leave a little cushion on the sofa to reserve your own spot. Because of course you are trollin'

Why not take advantage of this simplified troll face and build it out of black and white wool in Minecraft to tower over your friends fortress. I shall fill mine with TNT so when he tries to get rid of it he knows he has been trolled.

Small Doom Logo Cross stitch design

Small Doom Logo Cross stitch design

I originally created this little version of the doom Logo to accompany stitched sprites from the older Doom games.
The sprites are wonderful and perhaps a challenge to stitch but will look great in the end.
One thing I noticed was that there was no small version of the logo to match up with the sprites themselves.
Fans of the game will notice that this design is very simplistic when compared to the original but I am not sure who would have the patience for the backstitching required to represent the intricate detail inside each of the coloured sections.

This design is Fan art I claim no ownership of Doom nor its logo. Doom was developed by Id software and Nerve Software so all thanks to them for creating a fantastic game.
