Hello everyone,
This is a design of a cute little bird. This one is made to look like he is sewn all the way around like a felt plushie.
I think I shall do another bird but make the replicas of extra stitches with backstitch instead. It may give a more accurate representation of the little felt models I am trying to portray.

This stitch will be great for a little summer card or a small patch for a shopping bag.

Hello everyone,
This is a design based on one of my lovely nieces. She's only a tiny baby right now but her mum always calls her Mummy's Little Princess. So I decided to draw this picture based on this lovely sentiment.
The writing is made to look like handwriting because I thought it would look like a more personal touch than a regimented alphabet.
So big loves to all the Mummies out there and all of their little princesses. I hope somebody will enjoy sewing this design as much as I enjoyed sketching it.

This is another instalment of Kids counting animals: 8 Elephants

With four baby elephants and four adult elephants all walking around the world you can have loads of counting fun. This one is definitely my favourite of the kids counting animals series. I hope that those lovely baby elephants will be as fun to cross stitch as I found them to draw.

It may be a little ambitious but I would love to sew all of the kids counting animals and make them into a large quilt. I bet that my lovely niece would really like it and practice her counting on many of the pictures. :) Maybe we can use it to help her learn the names of all the animals too.

This is a cross stitch design of Rarity in another of her fabulous dresses. I must admit this is actually quite an old drawing which has been saved on my PC for quite a while before posting. I just had a week where I drew nothing but ponies and had to put a few aside. (I try not to post a pony cross stitch design too many weeks in a row) and it looks like this one got lost in the pile.

Update: Hi everyone just a quick update to let you know the very talented Minecraft artist ChickenFuzzNuts has made a giant pixel sculpture of this design on Minecraft.
I heartily recommend checking it out over on their Facebook page here: CLICK ME!https://www.facebook.com/Chickenfuzznuts

Hello everyone

Here is a large cross stitch design I got the idea for while drawing Girl blowing a Dandelion. There wasn't room for this idea on the same picture but here is a dandelion being blown and the seeds slowly being turned into beautiful colourful butterflies. The dandelion is grey to make it a clear contrast with the brightness of the butterflies.

This design will be easy to substitute your own colours since each butterfly is a single colour. However when substituting colours be aware of replacing the grey colours with something too bright, you don't want to overwhelm the colours of the wings which are supposed to be the brightest part of the butterfly.

It can also be a brilliant way to use up small scraps of thread since it doesn't matter if every single butterfly in the picture is a different shade as long as you like the way the colours go together.

I may be using some of these butterflies as little cards since they are easy to take out of this larger design to cross stitch separately. :)

Happy stitching

Hello everyone.
Heres a large and colourful design to declare that you are a Brony in no uncertain terms. I just couldn't decide what colours to use so just went for a really bright rainbow so I could use as many colours as possible. It looks as if Rainbow Dash may have had some design influence on this one though. :)
This could make a really cool sofa cushion with another bright colour as a backing if you dare declare your love of My Little Pony so much. :)

Hello everyone
It has been a gloriously warm week in the UK. The sun is shining and the birds are singing, not a cloud in the sky. So while birdwatching in the local park I sketched this cute little design. I wanted to make it really simple yet colourful to really capture the feeling of a nice warm summers day.

The bird can be any colour you wish to use and this is a great project for using up some odd ends of embroidery thread you may have left in your stash after a nice spring clearout. The design has whole stitches only and clear outlines, just whats needed to set up some stitching to fill in while hanging out in the garden with a nice cool drink.

I hope everyone can have a chance to enjoy the sunshine and partake in a little summer stitching.
Happy sewing

New home card motifs cross stitch designs

New home card motifs cross stitch designs

Hello everyone,
Its getting to that time of year when people start thinking about moving house. A bright spring day is better for moving house than a cold and blustery day.

No suggested colours for these since they are meant to be small enough to use any odd ends of threads you happen to have spare. These can be used as ideas for new home cards. Though the stripy one without the lettering has proven quite popular as an idea for a coaster (to put on the table in your new house naturally)
