Hello everyone,

Today I thought I'd share a super cute toy unicorn cross stitch design. This design will be perfect for the bedroom of a unicorn loving kid since you can never have enough unicorns for a real fan.

Please feel free to change the colours of the unicorn to any you feel would look nice together. This is not a particular character so no specific colours are needed. The mane can be as bright and colourful as you like or more natural shades for a lighter look.

Inspiration for this design was found in the public domain here:

Hello everyone,
Today is a simple design of a small pink birthday cake. This is a design I just grabbed some threads and a tiny scrap of left over Aida and tried to see what I could make. Since the design was meant to be for a birthday card I though a small simple birthday cake would be ideal.

Heres a pic of the finished design:

The rose was a tiny motif from Donna Kooler's 555 Cross stitch designs for the young at heart. Its a brilliant book by the way if you are ever looking for a new book for your cross stitch designs.

The heart in the square is in the same book, a small part of a larger design. I changed the colours to match the pink theme. Then added a nice happy birthday sticker match the silver metallic threads.
Though I really dislike stitching with metallic threads its rather fiddily and the thread likes to split apart as you sew. However you can't deny that the end result is so pretty.
