Hello everyone, This is the very last design in my current Zodiac card pattern series posted in time to sew for the late November birthdays all the way to the birthdays near the end of December where the cycle starts again.
So I hope you have all enjoyed this collection of fun little zodiac designs. I have a few themes in mind for other series to be posted one per month for next year but lets see if I get some time over Christmas to actually make a start on the series. Christmas being a particularly buzy time of year for everyone but crafters in particular with cards and presents to make.

Sagittarius is a fire sign, so to represent this I made the background look like a collection of small flames all smoldering behind the sign. The Colours used are also all bright and firey this helps to represent the Fire signs tendency to be Enthusiastic to the point where they could burn out of control. So keep an eye on those fire signs! However all that passion can sometimes be channeled into creative pursuits, with the fire signs tendency to be lively and spontaneous it seems like there will never be a dull moment with them around.

Hello everyone,

I'm taking a little break from Halloween themed stitches to bring you another Zodiac cross stitch pattern.

This is a card sized design for all of the lovely Scorpio people having their birthdays starting in late October to mid November.
The colour scheme of this design represents that Pisces is a sign of the water element. I think these little circles look like a whole collection of bubbles or the scales on a beautiful fish.

It seems that water signs are very variable just like their namesake. Water can be calm, boiling, frozen or turbulent which makes water signs, not only a mixed bunch but can experience emotions in very different ways.

Hello everyone, This Months Zodiac cross stitch design is for Libra. A Libra Birthday falls between September 23 - October 22 so this should give you plenty of time to stitch this design up for a lucky Libra friend or relative. This design is just the right size for a large card or perhaps added to a cushion as a nice present.

Libra is an air sign. People who are within the air element are known to be intelligent and great at communication. They can also be seen as happy - go - lucky with a zest for life, I bet people in air signs really love to celebrate their birthday in style.
I represented the tranquillity of the air sign with the calming blue colour and the tendency to be creative amongst air signs with the light swirls.

This design was originally designed in Anchor colours, for a closest match to the Picture use Anchor, a conversion chart was used for DMC.

Virgo is an Earth sign so I represented this with a mountain motif and green/ brown colours. The mountains help to symbolize how people in Earth star signs are said to be dependable and stable. The colours convey the Earth signs tendency to be grounded. After reading up on the qualities typically shown in an Earth sign it seems that they will make good friends with the only commonly noted weakness being a tendency for greed, so just keep the cookie jar away from those earth signs huh?

Although Virgo birthdays do not start until the end of the month I am posting this up nice and early to give anyone who would like to stitch it lots of time to get started. This would make a nice card to celebrate a birthday. I have one friend who is considering sewing one of the zodiac signs I've been posting on the back of her jacket. I love this idea and may have to look into doing one of my own. :D

This design will be a fun stitch for some of your friends in the Cancer star sign, it will look fun on a card or could be used for book cover for a lovely journal. Since its very fitting for someone of the Cancer star sign to perhaps have to write down their range of emotions

Hello everyone
Last month has been rather strange with the weather, one minute there has been a nice touch of sunshine the next minute is hailing down. I'm not entirely sure what to wear right now :P
Anyway I thought I'd begin this month with a brand new Zodiac design for Gemini, luckily the birth sign dates for Gemini do not start until nearer the end of May so that will give lots of time to sew this for some very lucky people with Gemini birthdays this month.

Gemini is an air sign. People who are within the air element are known to be intelligent and great at communication. They can also be seen as happy - go - lucky with a zest for life, I bet people in air signs really love to celebrate their birthday in style.
I represented the tranquility of the air sign with the calming blue colour and the tendency to be creative amongst air signs with the light swirls.

Taurus is an Earth sign so I represented this with a mountain motif and green/ brown colours. The mountains help to symbolize how people in Earth star signs are said to be dependable and stable. The colours convey the Earth signs tendency to be grounded. After reading up on the qualities typically shown in an Earth sign it seems that they will make good friends with the only commonly noted weakness being a tendency for greed so just keep the cookie jar away from those earth signs huh?

This cross stitch design is a nice size for a large card so best get stitching for any Taurus friends with a birthday this month. :)

Aquarius is an air sign. People who are within the air element are known to be intelligent and great at communication.
I represented the tranquility of the air sign with the calming blue colour and the tendency to be creative amongst air signs with the light swirls.

I found it suprising that Aquarius is an air sign, I thought that it was a water sign but research proved me wrong. However the zigzag associated with this sign could be seen to represent water being blown by the wind. Thats what I feel that it looks like anyway.

Hello everyone

This is the first design of a new series of Zodiac themed cross stitch designs. This is designed to be a good size for a large card. The designs use only a few colours of embroidery thread and whole stitches only so while the background design may need a little more counting these will be great for a beginner to try to stretch themselves on their cross stitching skills. 

This months design is Capricorn
