This is a cross stitch design of Princess Celestia writing a letter.
I left off any magical hue around the horn and pen because it made the picture too complicated, added another set of colours and did not really add much to the pose. I did not want to add too many shades of colours since that would be another set of threads to collect and stitch with.
How does Princess Celestias hair stay up and flowing like this all of the time? Does she use some magical hair gel?

Hello everyone
Heres another little Christmas decoration maze. I just had to draw another one since I had so much fun drawing the last one and my friends little boy, Toby had a great time helping me make sure that the maze was completable and I had not accidentally blocked off the way through. I designed this one to be a little easier than the stocking maze. There are several ways to go around this one to get to the other side so not as many dead ends as before to keep this one lively for younger children to do.

Since this uses whole stitches only this design could be sewn on plastic canvas to make a decoration or sewn on aida and backed with a lovely felt (I recommend blue or yellow to match the design). Don't forget to attach a ribbon or piece of chord to help hang your decoration on the tree.

As always stitchers do not need to stick to these thread numbers. Since the design only uses four colours it will be easy to swap the colours of the design about to match the colour theme of your Christmas tree. Just don't forget to ensure that there is a darker and a lighter version of each colour. The lighter colour will be the main colour of the bauble and provide the 'Path' to be followed.
Be careful not to pick shades which are too similar to one another else it will be very difficult to complete the maze.

Have fun stitching everybody. Hope all of your cards are ready for the last post before Christmas. :)

Hello everyone
Are you feeling Christmassy yet?

These designs have been really fun to draw. I wanted to make something which could be used individually as cards (or more per card if you like) or lined up together as a larger pattern perhaps for a cushion or a wall hanging. Of course these colours are just suggestions so change them up however you like. Take all your favourite colours or use up some of your thread scraps on these since it doesn't matter what exact colour they are. Crackers can be any colour you can think of.
Maybe I'll have a go at sketching some larger ones which look like the crackers you get in posh shops. For the grown ups don't you know. I do miss the toys in those crackers though you get nail clippers and screwdrivers in those. Its useful but not very fun.

This week I have been having rather long discussions on when we are supposed to put up the Christmas tree. She tells me Mid-December and no earlier.
I am however a little bit too excited to start decorating. Maybe I'll sneak a couple of Christmas stockings onto the mantelpiece this weekend.

I just am really looking forward to trying out my upcycled Christmas baubles. I made them last January instead of getting rid of the worn ones after Christmas, as it was the first Christmas in my new house a few of my family members gave me some of their old decorations so I didn't have to buy them from scratch. However since they were old ones they were a little scuffed in places and just a little untidy, but a bit of ribbon and felt later and they looked just like new.
Check them out here:

Hello everyone,
Today is a Christmas stocking themed design. Its a little smaller than my usual designs so it can be used as a decoration for the Christmas tree or a large Christmas card.

This design came about during a conversation with a friend of mine. We were discussing what decorations to put on our trees this year when her son Toby pipes up that Christmas decorations are boring.
Of course we were shocked, we think Christmas decorations are actually quite nice.

Toby explained that they just sit there and look pretty, even the chocolate ones because he isn't allowed to eat them until boxing day anyway (though we are fairly sure he and his brother do sneak off with one now and again). Then went off to fill in his colouring book.
On one of the pages was a very simple maze, it was help the dog to find his bone on the other side of the maze. So I thought what if the decoration was also a maze? It can be taken off the tree and solved.

I showed the pattern to Toby and he thought it was cool to have a little maze on the tree but can the decorations do anything else?
Oh my he is setting me a challenge

Though I refused to sew one for him to colour in. I think instead we'll find some Christmas colouring books and cut out the Pictures ones hes done colouring The smaller ones can be added to the tree by putting a hole in the top with a hole punch and adding a piece of string or ribbon through it.

This is a cross stitch design for the flying/electric type Pokemon Emolga. At the moment in Pokemon X/Y I keep coming across these Pokemon in sky battles where they proceed to be super effective against almost everything I have in my party. This is highly frustrating but I'm sure I will not be too upset when I find one of my own to use in sky battles.
In the mean time I think I shall stick with my Joltik as my main electric type Pokemon.

This is a background pony from the show My little Pony: Friendship is Magic who many fans pointed out looks a little bit like David Tennant as Doctor Who. This is backed up by the fact that his Cutie mark is an hourglass meaning that his super special talent may have something to do with time. This is confirmed in the My Little Pony mobile game as his discription is 'Dr. Hooves keeps Ponyville's clocks in sync, sets the hourglass for cider competitions, and takes care of all things timey-wimey.'
Timey-Wimey is an obvious reference to David Tennants Doctor as this phrase is seen in the episode 'Blink' in the following quote: 'People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big bowl of wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff.'

In one episode this character makes an appearance as a pegisis which some think may be a new form after a regeneration but in all fairness it could have simply been the reusing of a background character in a scene where lots of pegisis where needed. But you can always decide for yourself if you view the episodes for example 'Sonic Rainboom' where

This is Doctor Lollipop, he is a well respected pink unicorn Doctor who treats all of the magical animals in the forest.
As soon as I saw this show I just had to draw a picture of this character. Doctor Lollipop is very carismatic and I love the way he shows off and gets surrounded by a rainbow (presumably by unicorn magic) its so unexpected its kinda funny.

If you have not heard of this cartoon heres a link to the episode on Youtube.

Hey there everyone.
I thought it was time for another Ben Ten Cross stitch design. I am Such a fan of Ben ten and just couldn't resist. This picture is based upon Ben Ten Omniverse. The style of the show seems to have become more anime like in this season but still theres everything you live from the original seasons, Monsters, aliens and assorted bad guys along with a good number of adventures.

I wish I had an excuse to sew this one. I think it would make an awesome gym bag or patch for a school bag. The other kids would be so jealous I'm sure.

This is a Cross stitch design of the Ice King from Adventure time.

I find the Ice King a facinating character. In each episode we find out more and more about him which turns him from an icompitent villian into a sympathetic character.
*spoiler alert read at your own risk*
When we first see the Ice King in season 1 of Adventure time he is simply a bumbling Villain who Finn and Jake end up defeating on a regular basis. They never do away with him perminatly (this show is for a young audience I doubt they would kill him) but they could lock him up or send him far away. I suppose he wouldn't listen if he was banished and come back anyway.

At this point if there was no character development for the Ice King we would most likely see him fall out of use in the series or suffer villian decay (just like Jessie, James and Meowth in the Pokemon series) where the villian is no longer scary or does not even pose any threat because they have been defeated so many times by the heroes of the cast.

For more information on the ice king check out the wiki page here: http://adventuretime.wikia.com/wiki/Ice_King
