Hello everyone,

Here is a quick design for a pencil themed Thank You card, such a card would be perfect for teachers.
I have also included a version without the text if you'd like to use it as a decorative patch, maybe for a school bag or pencil case for kids. If used on a school bag the child name could be sewn on to the design where the letters are using a simple backstitch font. This will will be a really fun way for your child to recognise their bag in the pile to make sure they are picking up the right lunch.

I recommend using two strands of black for the backstitch letters on this design so that it really stands out against all the different colours on the design.
You are welcome to change up the colours of each of the pencils, why not grab a cool selection from your thread ends to stitch these?

Hello everyone,

As something a little different for this years Halloween stitch here is a  template outline of a Sugar Skull for you to add motifs to. This should be a fun activity for those who love to mix and match motifs.

This design would be nice on big bold signs, maybe a nice snarky comment design?

Hello everyone,

A friend mentioned that there was not many cross stitch designs of modern trains. Of course as any seasoned cross stitcher would know there are loads of designs of steam trains (or even Thomas the Tank Engine characters) they make some lovely stitches to sew with all the detail and the beauty of steam. However there are many kids who would associate trains with the modern sleek high speed trains we see today.

So this one is for all the train enthusiasts who want something a little more modern for their stitching or decoration.

Hello everyone,

Heres a design for a simple yet scary skull for your trick or treat bag this year. This could make a rather spooky treat bag to compliment a skeleton costume. If you are running low on time to stitch this it can be stitched on white adia so only the black stitches need to be sewn.If you'd rather stitch on black aida make the outlines in a different colour to match your costume.

Alternately why not stitch this and place it inside a ornate black frame to place upon the mantlepiece next to your other decorations as an awesome handmade touch.

If you are feeling creative this design is simple enough to use as a base for a sugar skull design. Just add your own colours and motifs. There are loads of of sugar skull design inspiration online but trust me you can spend hours looking and just find so many different ideas.

Today I thought I'd share a super cute toy unicorn cross stitch design.This design will be perfect for the bedroom of a unicorn loving kid since you can never have enough unicorns for a real fan.

Please feel free to change the colours of the unicorn to any you feel would look nice together. This is not a particular character so no specific colours are needed. The mane can be as bright and colourful as you like or more natural shades for a lighter look.
