Letters from Equestria - My Little Pony themed designs for Pencil cases or Purses

Hello everyone
This week is something a little bit different, instead of my usual My Little Pony fan art I decided to draw something which come from the wide world of Equestria. I had been trying not to post too many My little Pony cross stitch designs but I have been inspired again by the new season which is currently airing. It never fails to recapture my attention with each new episode. :)

Princess Celestia's letter

This is a letter to Princess Celestia if she receives a letter without it being sent by dragon flame that is. You may spot on the back is a little red bow on the seal which is based on the red bow on the scrolls sent by Spike with his fire. This how we know that this letter could mean serious business.
The stamp is also based off of Celestias Cutie mark, I imagine that instead of having the Royals face on stamps like we do here in the UK stamps in Equestria would be decorated with Cutie marks or other cute things.

Rainbow Dash's airmail letter

This is a letter for Rainbow Dash and of course it is an Airmail letter because how else is a letter going to get between Ponyville and Cloudsdale if not by Pegasus mail.
I havn't seen much by the way of post mares except for out beloved Ditsy Doo delivering in her uniform so I made her a little symbol to stamp the letters with on the back of the envelopes.

Applejack's mud splattered envelope

This final letter is for Applejack in Sweet Apple Acres but what is this? It seems a clumsy mail mare must have dropped it in the mud and there's a muddy hoof print too! Well I'm naming no names but I have an idea who might have dropped this letter but I suppose Applejack isn't too worried about a little bit of dirt.

This is a cross stitch design for Rainbow Dash from Equestria girls in her outfit for the fall formal.
Rainbow Dash is the most colourful character in the whole show with her hair and outfit having so many colours included. Its going to take a whole load of threads to effectively sew this design.

I have been checking out the Equestria Girls Dolls this week. My favorite variation is the Rainbow Dash Radical Hair doll. What a fitting character to have a whole bunch of colourful hair accessories? I know Rainbow Dash isn't a girly enough character to be really into hair styling but seeing my Niece having so much fun platting the different hair colours to make a whole bunch of new patterns really looked great fun. She even got her Rarity Pony to convince her Rainbow Dash doll to have a new hair style for the ball and did up her hair with every single one of the clips that come in the set.

This is a design of Rainbow dash about to take off. She looks so awesome in this pose. I chose this pose because many cross stitches of Rainbow Dash have her in simpler standing or flying pose and I wanted to have one with her about to spring into action.

This version of Rainbow dash has a slightly different set of colours for the eyes then I would have used but I wanted to reduce the amount of colours needed. For a more accurate colour use black for her iris and line over the top of her eyes or you can leave it in dark purple for a softer set of colours on the face. This is up to you.

This is a picture of Rainbow dash in the Christmas pagent. (though its called Harth's Warming in Equestria)
In the pageant she is playing an intolerant general who wants to have the whole of the known world belong to the pegasi. In the story the generals of the three tribes fight so much they bring forth a storm filled with creatures who relish hate and distrust.
It is only through learning how to be friends that the generals assistants banish the storm and soon teach everyone how the land can be shared.

Rainbow dash looks so good as a general. I love how her tribes helmet and armour look like they were inspired by Roman styles.

This is Twilight Sparkle's Cutie mark design in cross stitch. I used a bold font for her because it remided me of old history books. Perhaps Like the old dusty Books that Twilight herself likes to read.
This picture has whole stitches only. I normally would not have a block if colour in a design but Twilights cutie mark his white sections witch do not show up on white aida. If you wanted to reduce the amount of stitches you need to sew you could do the smaller stars in a slightly off white colour or give them a small outline of purple.

Fluttershy's Cutie mark cross stitch design. This one is super simple because the butterflies only need two colours. I drew her name in a hand writing style. The writing is a little elegant and perhaps a little rushed  just as I imagine Fluttershy's own hoofwriting to be. Shes probably quite neat but also rushed by looking after so many animals that she doesn't have the time to make it super tidy.

 

Rainbow Dash Cutie Mark design. I included a font which looks a little like it should be on the back of a collage sport shirt. Since if Rainbow dash was a human who could argue that she would be in a sports team. Plus of course its rainbow coloured.

If you want to make this design simpler you can change all of the rainbow colours just for the same blue, red and yellow included in her cutie mark itself
