Hello Everyone,

Today I want to present to you a cross stitch design of a cute little cat cactus or should it be a catus?

I wanted to challenge myself to make a design that was small and detailed without getting too crowded with backstitch.

Hello everyone,

I thought it would be time to draw a nice colourful and summery design. This could be a fun decoration, a gift or a large card for someone special.

Stitchers note: Stitchers can use either 1 or two strands of thread for the back stitch. 1 strand will produce a more delicate design while two will be thicker and bolder

Theres no need to stick to the exact colours for the flowers, feel free to pick your favourites or just some pretty colours if your bits and bobs stash.

Since it's been a little while since we have had some lovely weather I thought it would be great to cheer you all up with a bright and easy cross stitch to remind us that warmer weather is on the way.

As always feel free to change the colours on this stitch to threads you like the look of, to match a room or perhaps your mood. They can be stitched as a set or just one at a time. Have fun stitching these lovely flowers as we wait for warmer weather coming up

Hello everyone,

Today is a teeny experiment in designing something with backstitch only. Its a simple flower for cards or tiny motifs. There are no colour recommendations since you can simply pick the colour you like the best to sew this one in.

A few of these flowers in a row could make a nice chunky boarder for other sewn pieces, I think next I'll try and use this little flower as a corner for a boarder and see how that turns out. If it looks nice and I think that somebody may want to stitch it I'll post it up here. :)

This design was drawn originally with Anchor colours in my program. Use anchor threads to get the closest match. I used a conversion chart to get the DMC numbers.

This is one of the very first designs I made But I thought I'd post it now to keep in with the lovely spring weather we are having. Who can resists stitching up some lovely yellow flowers like this.

A large baby sampler full of girly colours
I have left a large gap for the name so a long name can fit there too. I recommend hearts to fill in the gap if the name is shorter. Also in the bottom left there is a gap for the initials so use any font you like. You could also put a personal message here instead.

Feel free to replace any of the squares with something more personal. So perhaps if the family has a pet they could be included in the sampler. How about instruments if the parents play music?

Try asking the new babies older siblings for suggestions of what they would add for the baby. This will make the sampler extra special especially when they get to tell the baby which things they suggested.

A little fairy baby sampler design.
If you want to add a name which is longer or shorter you can adjust the amount of flowers/ mushrooms in between the names or simply add more space in-between the items.
The alphabet I got from one of my many cross stitch books so I won't be providing a whole set of letters. I left the name I used in my sampler to show where the name you want to use will fit.

The fairy needs a face too. But I will leave that off to make the design easier to read.

The flowers and mushrooms also make great borders or quick stitches for cards too.
